And so begins the famous poem about Guy Fawkes and his failure to blow up Parliament. Guy Fawkes is considered by some to have been an anarchist, and concern has been raised over associating the 5th of November with a dynamite (no pun intended) fund raising effort some Ron Paul supporters have undertaken called “this November 5th,” where one is directed to donate to the official Ron Paul Campaign tomorrow.
Guy Fawkes and the Gunpowder Plot are prominently featured in “V for Vendetta” and anyone familiar with this story knows that one of its main themes is that of the corruption of power. In the movie version the forces of V don’t seem to have a follow up plan (i.e. a new form of government), but we Ron Paul supporters in fact do (well, it was new some 200 years ago). As a Congressman, Ron Paul has been upholding the Constitution for twenty years, so you cannot call him an anarchist. In fact, one could argue that any officer of any of our governments, federal or state, who does not follow the Constitution that created his or her office is an anarchist of sorts.
Someone recently suggested the 11th of November - Veteran’s Day - as another good fund raising day. And so the beginnings of another poem come to mind…
Remember remember the Eleventh of November,

It appears to me, as a former Republican who supported every R candidate from Nixon to our current Moron and cheif, that those who shrink back from the 5th of November, suffer from a small penis complex.
Who believes our government isn’t the antithesis of freedom. George Bush has taken what we’ve allowed him to confiscate of our freedoms. It sounds to me you open to more of his rape and pilliage.
As Ron Paul has said, “The Founders would be ashamed of us.” Those who think the 5th of November fundraiasing effort is a little too agressive should pick up their purses and panty hose and head for the house. It is amazing to me how some people are quite comfortable with having their liberties totally dismembered…not wanting to create any conflict.
What part of Revolution did you miss? Grow up and get a set of testicles. Your country needs you.

Boy have I been mis-taken on this one. In no way do I not support the 5th of November fundraiser…I was only trying drive home the point that those with concerns that Ron Paul might be seen as some kind anarchist don’t need to worry. Just tell any naysayers that he supports government and has been doing so officially for at least twenty years.
Last I heard, there is only one government at the federal level and it was created under the constitution that Congressman Paul always votes to uphold.
