Who is Ron Paul?

1. Ron Paul is a doctor and 10th-term Congressman running for President of the United States in 2008 as an anti-war Republican; specifically, he is non-interventionist, but he is not an isolationist or a pacifist, and believes that Iran does not pose a threat to the US

2. Ron Paul’s campaign is attracting disillusioned Democrats and Republicans who are unimpressed with their party’s current offerings; there are no anti-war candidates in the “top-tier” of either party (this is why Ron Paul is the only Republican who can defeat a Democrat in the general elections)

3. Ron Paul’s message has convinced many Democrats and Independents switch their party affiliations (if required by their state’s voting rules) to help him win the Republican primaries

4. Ron Paul wants to restore power to individuals and states by reducing the size and scope of the Federal government (something most of the Founding Fathers also fought for); this is the opposite of what modern Democrats and Republicans are trying to do

5. Ron Paul schooled Rudy Giuliani about “blowback” and the root causes of 9/11 in the May 15th Republican debates, something “Mr. 9/11″ was apparently not aware of even though it was in the 9/11 Commission Report

6. Ron Paul knows there was no long-term inflation prior to the creation of the Federal Reserve in 1913 and the abandonment of the gold standard, and wants to phase out the Federal Reserve Act and restore sound money

7. Ron Paul believes that issues which have proven to be divisive and unresolvable on the Federal level (such as abortion) are more effectively dealt with on the state and local levels, which is in fact the Constitutionally correct approach to these issues
